Meet Scott + Tay

Jul 30, 2019

Scott and Taylor are a travel couple who left their lives behind in Phoenix, AZ to hit the open road full-time in their RV. Scott continued his career as an entrepreneur and Taylor began hers as a writer, which has allowed them to become location independent and travel across the U.S. for two and half years. In April of 2022, they purchased land in Montrose, Colorado and are now in the process of concurring their dream of developing a campground!

Taylor

Before hitting the road Taylor worked as a Child Development Specialist in the Head Start program in Phoenix, AZ. After packing up their lives and moving into their RV full-time, Taylor began working on a passion of hers that had taken a backseat in her life for many years-writing!  Living in the RV and not having a 9-5 job finally gave her the opportunity to complete one of her lifelong goals of writing a novel. Using experiences from their journey on the road to serve as inspiration in her book, she was able to complete her first novel and get it published on Amazon in less than a year. You can find her novel, “The #Vanlife Murders” on  Amazon and in select Barnes and Nobles across the U.S. She is now working hard with Scott to develop their campground!

Scott

Scott is from sunny Phoenix, AZ and worked as a real estate agent and investor (yes, even from on the road) and has always been drawn to all things outdoors so when the chance came to take off and hit the open road, he was fully on board. So where Taylor brings her media skills to this partnership, Scott brings his creativity, handyman skills, and wild entrepreneur mindset. Scott spearheaded the purchase of the campground and is diligently working to get it ready for the fall season!

Finley

After six months on the road, we thought that we would make things even more interesting while living in an RV full-time by picking ourselves up a puppy! We talked about getting a dog for quite some time and finally decided that a golden retriever would be just the addition to the family that we needed. It was a bit of a challenge to raise a puppy in an RV, but it’s safe to say this little pup has seen more places than some humans and we couldn’t be happier to have her along with us for this journey!

Shmeegle

This journey wouldn’t have been the same without this little travel buddy! Okay, so maybe he wasn’t a fan of life on the road at first, but he has come to enjoy traveling across the country and occasionally sneaking out of the RV to explore new stops along the way – he will remain a mainly indoor cat as we build out the rv park.
