National Parks

As you can imagine some of the top places to camp lay right in our national parks. We have had the privilege to stay in some of these amazing parks along our journey and thought we would share our thoughts on each place we have been so far!

One of the advantages to staying in a national park is that you are already in the location you want to be when you wake up. You don’t have to factor in a commute because you wake up already at your destination! A disadvantage to staying inside national parks could be the amount of other campers you will be sharing the campground with. Depending on the time of year that you are planning your travels, some of these campgrounds need to be booked far in advance if you want to land a spot in the park.

Most of our travels we have visited the parks during off-season, which has been surprisingly awesome. Sure, it may have been chilly, but when you wake up and have an entire national park almost to yourself, it’s worth it. Not only do you get to experience the park when there are less people there, but most parks will have off-season rates, allowing you to stretch your dollar further.

On this page you will find posts about each park we have stayed at, the time of year we were there, and what we liked and didn’t like about each place. Please shoot us a message if you have anything to add or have any questions!
